3 marathons in a month?

Din realise i am so tired. It was a good run today nonetheless.

My colleague jioed for a "light" run. His definition of a light run was to run the hills without load *cold sweat*. Thinking that it was their recovery run, i said ok. The weather was not showing up well when we left the office. Lazy me was hoping that it would rain then we can all go have dinner...hahah. Guess i was tired from the run last nite. I ran a 12km & reached home at 11.20pm. As a result, my active mind kept me half-awake & half-dreaming til 2-3am.

The weather was darn fine...not even a light brush of lightning or a murmur of thunder across the sky. We settled for 2 hills - Telok Blangah & Labrador since it was 7.35pm by the time Hwee Hoon reached MF. We explored a bridge from TB that led us to Lock Road (Villa Bali). It was quite exciting to trespass an unfinished route :P

Since it was a short run, they decided to pick up the pace. I had to follow suit as Serene paced me & refused to let me run my own pace. It was painfuuuul. My gastric hurts..was trying hard to control my breathing & posture but most of the time, i was focused on just catching up. Serene told me to imagine a towline btw us and not let the distance stretch too far.

By the time i was done with the 2 hills & returning to MF, i was breathing thru my mouth...my thighs felt tired & i could feel the strain on my right calf. I still tried my best to speed up, thinking "if i wanna improve, it's gonna hurt.".

When i reached MF, HH said we are gonna do a 55km overnight run next Fri. Oh gosh! That's the weekend after my KL marathon! This means i have 3 marathons within a month! 1 last weekend, 1 this weekend and 1 next weekend *faint* Serene advised that i best take a break from running after KL right til Fri. Or else my muscles may not be able to handle the toil & break down on me.

I am so gonna take it easy & rest from tmr onwards.

(Hee, btw, a crazy idea of forming an all-gers team to do Tahan under 48hrs in Aug popped up just now b4 we started the run. Rest is going to be a luxurious affair *wink*)
