Gosh..i "concussed" for the past 6 hrs. Once i came out of the bathroom, finished my post-shower ritual (put this cream that cream), i hit the bed and lost consciousness...dead to the world.
Did 2 runs within the same day. Runners are sometimes crazy pple and this one tends to run more out of the blue for distraction. Sometimes, somehow, certain truths sink in better after a run. Or for that matter, do smtg challenging/shocking to wake ourselves to senses! *lol*
Met up with Serene at 6am and ran from home to EC > Natl Sailing Club > Bedok Jetty. Since i was gonna do a nite run later, i kept holding back my pace (guess mental was lazy too). Imagine we clocked 3:03 for that kinda distance..heheh.
Surprisingly, the nite run was a good one. Perhaps they were accomodating to my LSD pace (hee...paiseh).
According to what Aili planned, it was ard 30-32km. However, we din feel we clocked a long distance but we din walked much leh (in my recollection). Only when we were "lost", then we walked abit.
Had quite a lot of fun along the way when Aili & Peter (Batz) were making fun of each other and the latter trying to crack jokes. All these took the toil out of night running while most of us shld be asleep in bed.
The most challenging part was after the 1st break at King Albert Park McD. That was 2am to 3+am before we reached JE for the next restpoint. I reckoned it's cos of the odd hours. I always tend to feel sleepy at that time.
As Aili was planning to do another nite run over the PH next week (Easter), i jioed both of them to join Joanne & me. However, i cautioned them that the pace would be slower since both of us intend to carry load. They were fine with it since the objective is to clear 9hrs.
We had breakfast at Tanglin Market before calling it a day. Here's a summary of our run.
