Last nite, we went to see Hwee Hoon & Joyce off at the airport. After months of training & anticipation, they are finally gg to Sahara! I am so keyed up for them!!!
Altho i am not gg with them, i felt kinda connected with the whole process. During those Safra BM climbing days, I remembered HH citing her desire to do a desert run. Time flies. That was like 5 yrs ago? And the months prior to D-day, i would meet them before or after their training sessions...to get stuff, makan or take pics (hee...never for training...not purposely one tho :P)
At the send-off, Joyce was very much her usual self. HH seemed very excited...kept smiling. She's usually very cool :P
Anyway for this race, i feel they have trained hard and have full confidence in their abilities to finish good and strong. Don't think anybody in our clique can deny that these 2 ladies are tough cookies.
Looking at them embarking on this thrilling race, i can't help but wonder (after missing Gobi & Sahara)...When will my turn come?
