AHM/SBR 2010

My tumtum is gone. That's the perk i get after each AHM/SBR.

No complaints. Enough signages to show each turn & distance. Sufficient water & isotonic drinks. I was so impressed to see bananas at some stations! Route-wise, it was smooth with an unexpectedly short ECP stretch.

HH overtook me in the early hours while we were still within the CBD area. As i entered ECP, Guoliang called out to me. I would have expected him to be on the other side after U-turn (the same for Clarence & TCM). He was not feeling well hence did not want to overexert. On my return, i saw Bryan. We walked for a little while before he continued into F1 pit.

There were a lot of interesting runners along the way. In the 1st few km, there was this angmo lady who was doing a steady pace. I wanted to pace her but lost her after she went to get drinks. Along Sheares Bridge, this guy breezed through me and i liked the way he ran...small but fluid & swift strides. His no. tag was 20110 or smtg close to that. Thoughout my run, i noticed this young lady with bleached hair donning "pyjamas" shorts. She is tall & slim but didn't quite look like the runner type. I then saw her again after the run. Geez, for a 21km run in sunny Singapore, she was wearing heavy eye makeup :P Oh ya, not to forget! From the 18th km onwards, this Indian uncle, claded in Team Fatbird jersey, was encouraging the people around him to continue running. He was blowing an army-march like rhythm with his whistle to keep us in pace. I went over to him & remarked that Team Fatbird should be proud to have him.

Was it a good run? Well...considering i didn't train & itchy-backside me went for a Macritchie run yest - it was an unruffled one. Apart from my legs not having enough power to push, i did not suffer any cramps, stitches, tummyache or major physical/mental fatigue. Happy from the beginning til completion and AFTER! *wink*
