Good run at MR and when i say that, I don't mean good timing. I mean that the run was energizing. One reason for my love for running is to be able to spend time with myself. On a good day. I'm in my own world. On better days, my mind is rid of negativities, only to be humbled. Today is one of those better days :)
Not wanting to push myself too hard on the 1st run of the week(plus i haven't "moved" my feet the whole of last week), I decided to do a shorter route, from paddle lodge to ranger station and back. The return route wasn't a piece of cake as what I thought. It does have its ups (literally) and downs. Sometimes things always seem easier and greener on the other side. Only when one actually gets a chance to be on the other side, then one truly understands his/her own circumstance isn't that bad after all. And a more beneficial lesson - u learn to be understanding towards different people and situations.
Before u-turning at ranger station, the sky began to thunder. I was like "shucks! I'm gonna be stuck in MR!". My mind started to plan for contingencies. Nonetheless, I kept on running (haha what else can i do right?) The last 1km felt far but I knew each step forward will bring me closer to the destination...i just need to keep moving.
A clear sky greeted me as i exited the trails of my favorite reservoir :)
