The water was sparkling under the sunlight...as if little diamonds have dropped from the sky. I took a picture from my phone but a pity, it didn't quite capture the beauty i saw. Nvm. I sat down on the wooden planks for a good 20 minutes to take in the lovely sight.
Serene was away at Desaru Long Distance Tri hence i decided to do a long run on my own before TNF. Started at MR with my pack. Argh...wrong timing. There was a group of Red Shirts strolling on the trail. There was some corporate event going on. It was only after SICC that the crowd dissipated. Towards BT, I spotted a few duos training for the same event, i suppose. Sob sob...i was the only one by myself (:P)
At the little upslope that turns into BT, this lady asked me for directions. When she heard i was heading towards BT, she was like "wah!?". It was then i took a look at the directional sign that reads "5.3km". The location sounds far but in reality, it isn't.
When i reached BT grounds, i realize part of Nangka trail is closed :( Had to take the tarmac road that God-knows-where-it-leads-me-to. Fortunately, i saw a cyclist going into a trail which appears familiar to me. In no less than 30 minutes, i was at Visitors' Centre. Hello ice cream!
Bumped into Joseph & Hadi. Jo was training his clients for Poon Hill while Hadi was there for his weekend run. I chatted with Jo and his colleagues for half an hour before i hit Catchment Path back into MR.
While climbing up the steep steep slope, i passed by this group of hikers who were gathering to take a picture. My passing-by was absolutely timely. One of them asked,"should we get someone to take for us?". Still trying to catch my breath, i gestured for the camera. They were quite amused and thankful while i felt happy after helping them with the shots.
Before the 1st army camp, it started to pour. There was no shelter. Not that i intended to stop anyway. Luckily, the rain stopped when i reached MR. The usual serenity greeted me. The wind, the woods and me.
