Lesson 1: I am going to be a wedding planner

What do you ALWAYS want to be? A question I always get asked, even though I'm way past the quarter-life crisis.

My reply? A wedding planner! The reply always sent the "asker" into an "oh izzit?" look. Guess i was very much inspired by that J-Lo movie. However, i never gave serious thoughts about venturing into this less-known profession. After all, i've only heard of the conventional wedding planner one gets when you book your wedding dinner with the hotel. And being a non-believer of march in-cut cake-champagne pouring-yum seng-go round the tables & take pictures kind of person, i thought those are crap (sorry, no offense intended & I hope no such planners get to read this :P).

Over tea last month, my good friend announced that she is going to get married! Yay! She asked me to be her wedding planner. I agreed without much hesitation (and obviously unaware of what i'm going into). She then gave more details on her plan (or plot :P). I soon realized i am going back to "school". They are sponsoring me for this wedding planning course. In return, i shall apply the acquired knowledge onto their BIG day! Wow! Was I honestly flattered.

So here i am, into the first lesson.
