Root of Evil

Money is the root of all evil - I remember this as one of the debate topics which some of my sec sch classmates and i helped input our views during the preparation stage.

While money isn't the thing that causes ALL evil, i tend to incline my agreement towards money being a major contributor.  I'm not a very money-driven person hence explained why i did not go into sales-related work.   My expectations are simple (at least that's what i feel :p) - i'm paid in accordance to my work and market rates, enough to pay my bills, take care of my necessities, supply funds for a good holiday (maybe 2?) every year and savings for a rainy day.

The past 1 year has taught me to appreciate money - how it can strain kinship and how it can be used selflessly to help friends or closed ones in need.  I'm thankful to my friends who pulled me through those difficult months...those who aided me in actual dollars and cents and those who helped me save $ by shifting my stuff to the new place, keeping me in mind for pre-owned furniture in good condition and gifting me with household items.  It's amazing that apart from the fixtures & fittings, most of my items are "sponsored" by my lovely friends :)

Perhaps i've never been highly vocally appreciative to them but in my heart,  I am truly thankful to these angels that God sent into my life :)
