V-day Lohei

Today is Valentine's Day. Today is a Thursday...which makes it our running day. Just had a lovely lohei dinner with my running kakis. I still feel more comfy with them. After all, this group of friends have gone through several races with me through the years. It was simple food fare opposite Safra Mount Faber but good company always matters. A short run was originally intended but "thanks" to the rain, we skipped the run & went for early dinner instead. Yay!

As I was showering just now (ha! the inspirational things I can come up with in the bathroom) , I recounted how I came to know this circle of wonderful friends. It's sometimes amazing how one closed door opens another new world. Back then, I ended an almost 4-year r/s with Josh, picked myself up rather quickly and approached Mabel to attend her church. God led me to Shalom 'cos I saw for myself during her wedding how bonded her church friends were. And more importantly, they were an unique fun bunch of Christians.  Till date I've yet to know a "fun-ner" family :p

Through Shalom, I know Clarence whose friendship I really thank God for.  He introduced me to the Ace Family and then thru' Joanne & Jack, i did things I myself (for that matter, my family and good friends) never imagined doing. 10 years back, I would not think I'd enjoy trekking, adventure races, abseiling/zipline, running through sand and stones and roughing it out in a foreign land by myself. The word "Adventure" came into my life and added a whole new meaning to it. I came to know amazing ordinary people, gained whirlwind "stardom" on TV and radio (argh...almost on print). I have "crazy" friends who worked hard to make it to the roof of the world...literally! In them, i witness no matter how small we think we are, dreams do become possible if we dare to imagine and act.

There is nothing that i have done that i wished i haven't . There are only more things I want to do now. Thank You Father for this wonderful day! *BIG SMILE*
