Today's my first bf's bday. Eh...I think so. It's around this time. I have a knack for remembering birthdays...although there is a small fraction which I just have difficulty holding in my brain :p
Dunno why I'm blogging about this cos I signed in, wanting to blog about smtg else but hey I'm a woman! I change my mind easily. Heheh. Anyway, there was this variety show that was on TV, discussing about gifts and how men and women viewed differently. Perhaps that jotted my memory.
The best gift I've ever received is not material. Just like the most memorable holidays are those filled with laughter. Close friends know for a fact that I value the thought behind the gift than any tangible or expensive stuff in the world. So, what is the "bestest" gift I've received? A home cooked meal on my birthday. Prawn and asparagus. Never mind it was at a 3-room flat and not some dimly-lit fancy restaurant that we can't talk & laugh aloud. I felt happy and contented - simple bliss :)
I've always enjoyed crafting gifts or cards for loved ones. My proudest creation is this panda bear made from a white bath towel. I practically sewn it from scratch, filled it with fluff and gave it a zipper so that the plush toy could be machine-washed after removing the fluff. After things changed, I reckon the poor panda went to the bin :(
Perhaps it was from then on, I never hand-made things for anyone apart from my group of chummy gfs. I would only want to make it for those who treasure..
